The growth of Marino Group is driven by people who don’t just come to work, but stay for the long term, grow together with the company, take responsibility, and become its strength. One such example is Algis, who joined the team 8 years ago and today is responsible for production in Lithuania, Klaipėda.
His story is about an unexpected beginning, steady growth, and a mindset that results always start with people.
An unexpected start that became a long-term path
Sometimes the most important career decisions are made completely unexpectedly. That was also the case for Algis – his journey to Marino Group began with a simple meeting that later turned into a long-term professional direction.
“My journey to Marino Group started unexpectedly. I randomly met my former colleague, now Deputy CEO of Marino Group, Aurimas Margevičius. During a pleasant conversation, he suggested joining the company.”
Such moments often become turning points, when a decision is made quickly, but its significance unfolds over time. “This offer seemed very attractive to me, so I agreed without much hesitation. It became a meaningful step in my professional path and the beginning of a new chapter.”
From a training center to production management
From the very beginning, Algis’ path in the company was not only about work, but also about building processes and developing people. One of his first initiatives was the training center, which became an important part of Marino Group.
“After starting in the company, I initiated the creation of a training and continuous improvement center. I established this center in order to ensure continuous professional growth of employees, deeper knowledge, and high work quality.”
This was not just a structural decision, but an investment in people that pays off in the long term. “What I remember most are the first trained young specialists who became qualified professionals in their field and successfully continued their careers.”
This experience became the foundation for further growth. After several years, a new stage followed, with greater responsibility and a wider scope of activities. “After about five years as head of the training center, I received an offer from the company management to take on higher positions – production supervisor and production manager.”
This shows a clear direction: growth here happens through trust and real results.
A team that creates results
Although positions change, one thing remains essential – people. In Algis’ view, the team is the key factor determining project success. “I highly value that the company has a strong and united team that you can trust and be proud of.”
Such teams do not form by themselves. They are built where there is trust, support, and a shared goal. “The management approach is flexible and motivating: they encourage growth, striving for the best results, and genuinely care about employees.”
This is also reflected in everyday life – both at work and beyond it. “Organized events and celebrations further strengthen the sense of community and allow us to celebrate shared achievements.”
Production: where quality starts with mindset
Today, Algis is responsible for production in Lithuania, Klaipėda – one of the most important areas. This is where plans turn into results, and decisions become real quality. “As someone responsible for production, I strive for the highest quality standards, therefore I am thorough, demanding, and principled.”
However, standards alone are not enough. Results are created by people and their mindset. “My main priorities in managing the team are developing responsibility, discipline, and a shared drive to achieve the best results.”
This approach is also reflected in a broader context. “I believe that the best results come from responsibility, mutual trust, teamwork, and a continuous desire to improve.”
Over eight years, there have been many projects, but some stand out not only because of their scale, but also their emotional value. “The most memorable is the ongoing reconstruction of Sendvaris Manor. Watching the buildings rise and knowing that my work contributes to it is not only a great responsibility but also a great joy.”
Such projects remind us that work is not only a process, but also creation. “I am looking forward to the completion of the project, when these spaces will be filled with life, and we will be able to enjoy a shared achievement.”
A guaranteed career for young specialists
In Marino Group, even specialists who are just starting their professional journey find their place – welders, pipe fitters, assemblers. Here they are given a real opportunity not only to work, but also to grow: to learn, gain experience, and participate in major international projects.
The most important thing is attitude. “Motivation, a responsible approach, and a desire to improve,” says Algis.
In his view, such people progress the fastest, because they not only perform the work but also learn at every step. It is also important that they are not alone on this journey – experienced colleagues are always present in projects to help, advise, and introduce them to real working routines.
This is an environment where you can grow not theoretically, but practically – working on real projects, responsibilities, and real results. And as Algis emphasizes, it pays off. “If you are a specialist in your field and a motivated employee, I sincerely invite you to join our team. You definitely won’t regret it.”
Looking to the future
Over 8 years, Algis has closely witnessed the company’s growth – from smaller stages to its current strong market position.
“During my years in the company, I have had the opportunity to observe how it consistently grows and strengthens. I believe in its bright future and new ambitious goals. As long as I am able, I will continue contributing to the success of the team.”
Algis’ story clearly shows that Marino Group’s growth is not accidental. It is built on trust, responsibility, and the opportunity for every person to contribute to a shared result. From an unexpected offer to production responsibility – this is a journey that demonstrates what consistent work and a strong team can achieve.
And it is exactly these kinds of stories that shape what Marino Group is today.
