One of the biggest challenges for anyone moving abroad for work begins long before the first day on the job. A new country, a new language, paperwork, immigration procedures, and the uncertainty of starting over. In moments like these, having someone by your side who has already walked the same path can make all the difference.
That is exactly who Mələk is today – the Azerbaijani Coordinator at Marino Group.
What makes her story unique is that before joining the office team, she was once one of Marino Group’s employees herself, arriving from Azerbaijan to work in Europe. Today, she helps fellow Azerbaijanis navigate the very same journey she once experienced firsthand.
When you’ve been in their shoes, helping comes naturally
Mələk’s journey with Marino Group began while she was still in Azerbaijan. “I first joined Marino Group as an employee from Azerbaijan. Later, I received an opportunity to become part of the office team in Lithuania.”
For her, this was more than a new position—it was an opportunity to grow professionally and build a long-term career. “It was a very exciting opportunity. Marino Group already had a strong reputation, and I knew it was a company people respected.”
Today, Mələk coordinates employees from Azerbaijan, helping them with documentation, immigration procedures, and the everyday questions that naturally arise after relocating to Lithuania.
Someone who truly understands every situation
Mələk knows exactly how it feels to arrive in a new country for the first time. That is why her role goes far beyond paperwork and administrative tasks. “For me, it’s important to help people solve their problems. Documents, migration matters, everyday challenges—they’re all part of my job.”
She admits that her first months in the office were not easy. She had to learn new processes, understand Lithuania’s systems, and adapt to an entirely different working environment. What made the biggest difference, however, was the support she received. “My colleagues supported me from the very beginning. Our Azerbaijani employees also helped me a great deal.”
That experience is the reason she now strives to provide the same support to every new employee who joins the company.
Much more than an office job
Although Mələk works in the office, she believes real support is built far beyond a desk. She stays in regular contact with employees, checks how they are doing, helps solve everyday issues, and visits them whenever needed. “We’re constantly in touch with our employees. We understand the situations they face, help resolve their concerns, and visit them whenever necessary.”
Her goal is simple—to make sure every employee knows they are never alone. Sometimes, a single conversation in someone’s native language is enough to make a difficult situation feel much easier.
Lithuania has become a second home
When asked how she feels about living in Lithuania today, Mələk smiles. “Over time, Lithuania has become like a second home to me.”
This is where her work, colleagues, and everyday life are now. “I truly love my job. I’m very grateful to the management for giving me this opportunity. They supported my growth and never made me feel like an outsider.”
Having gone through this experience herself allows her to better understand every new employee arriving in Europe for the first time.
Caring for people is part of our everyday work
Mələk believes that every great company starts with the way it treats its people. For her, Marino Group is more than an employer—it’s a team that helps people build their future. “If someone wants to work in Europe, I always recommend Marino Group. It’s a great team, and people receive genuine support here.”
Looking ahead, she is confident the company will continue to grow. “I would love to see Marino Group become one of Lithuania’s leading companies. And I truly believe it will.”
When you’ve once searched for the answers yourself
Mələk’s story shows that a career at Marino Group does not end with a first assignment. She arrived in Europe as an employee from Azerbaijan. Today, she is the person helping hundreds of other specialists begin their own journey with confidence.
Perhaps that is why her approach feels so genuine. She doesn’t simply understand the questions people ask—she once searched for the very same answers herself. And that is what makes her not only a coordinator, but someone people can genuinely trust.
